Half Dome rises to 8817 feet of elevation at the upper end of Yosemite Valley.    This meadow offers a wonderful view of the dome. .    This view from Cook’s Meadow includes  the big elm tree in the middle of the image.    I have been at this same spot hundreds of time and am always on the lookout for fine lighting to capture a new and better photo.  This day was a perfect time – it had just snowed heavily making  the valley into a fairy wonderland.  The oak in the for ground and the elm in the meadow, both covered with snow , made this a fine  photo opportunity for me.
